Get cosy and creative this autumn as you learn the magical art of needle felting and create your very own little pumpkin!

Using soft wool fibres and a special felting needle, you’ll gradually shape and sculpt your wool into a plump pumpkin, learning simple techniques to build up the shape and add texture and detail. It’s a wonderfully satisfying craft, as you watch loose fibres transform into a little three-dimensional pumpkin to take home.

Choose your colours and add your own finishing touches to create a pumpkin that’s completely unique — perfect for displaying at home throughout autumn and Halloween.

Children under 8 will need adult help with this activity.

Finger guards will be provided, but needle felting does involve working with a sharp needle and, while you’re getting used to the technique, it is quite common to get the occasional little prick.

Important booking information

Admission to The Blue Pool is NOT included in the Wild Ones workshop price. You will need to purchase a Blue Pool admission ticket in addition to your Wild Ones workshop ticket.

The Blue Pool’s October opening hours are currently 9.30am–5pm, with last entry one hour before closing.

Parents and carers are encouraged to stay and supervise children, but anyone wishing to make their own creation must have their own workshop ticket.
