Turn an ordinary sock into a spooky, silly or seriously cute monster!

Using a sock, colourful fabrics, feathers, beads and a whole collection of wonderfully weird materials, you’ll get to design and create your very own monster. We’ll have lots of materials perfect for upcycling and giving things a new lease of life, from scraps of fabric and buttons to all sorts of quirky accessories.

Add eyes, ears, hair, teeth, horns, feathers, beads and whatever else your imagination can dream up. Will you create a creepy Halloween creature, a cute and cuddly monster or something completely bonkers? There are no rules — just let your creativity run wild!

We provide the socks, but if you have an odd sock at home that has lost its partner and is waiting for a new purpose, bring it along and give it a brand-new life!

Important booking information

Admission to The Blue Pool is NOT included in the Wild Ones workshop price. You will need to purchase a Blue Pool admission ticket in addition to your Wild Ones workshop ticket.

The Blue Pool’s October opening hours are currently 9.30am–5pm, with last entry one hour before closing.

Parents and carers are encouraged to stay and supervise children, but anyone wishing to make their own creation must have their own workshop ticket.
