Something exciting is growing in the Piddle Valley…

In 2026, we’re bringing together everything we love about community, music, nature and family time — and wrapping it up beneath the watchful eye of the legendary Cerne Abbas Giant.

Welcome to Lil Giant Fest.

Hosted at the brilliant Cerne Abbas Brewery, this is a full weekend camping festival designed for big kids, little kids, and everyone in between. Think proper live bands, DJs under the stars, local ale, bushcraft workshops, talent shows, healing sessions and a field full of happy humans.

And yes… there will absolutely be giants.

Why Dorset Wild Ones Is Involved

At Dorset Wild Ones, we believe childhood should be muddy, magical and meaningful. Lil Giant Fest is a natural extension of that ethos — a place where families can slow down, connect, create and celebrate together outdoors.

We’ll be running our much-loved bushcraft sessions, giving children (and grown-ups!) the chance to:

• Learn new skills

• Get creative

• Try traditional crafts

• Connect with nature through hands-on experiences

• Play wild in a supportive environment

It’s everything we love about forest school — just with better music and more glitter (biodegradable of course).

Music for Grown-Ups (That Kids Will Love Too)

This isn’t a “stick a kids’ band in a corner” kind of event.

We’re curating an eclectic, feel-good lineup — from funk and disco DJs to soulful live bands and high-energy Saturday night headliners. Expect dancing in the grass, arms-in-the-air moments, and that beautiful feeling of watching your children boogie next to you.

Friday and Saturday nights are all about energy and connection.
Sunday softens into yoga, sound sessions, silent discos and space to breathe.

Being hosted at Cerne Abbas Brewery means one thing: proper Dorset ale on tap.

Alongside that, you’ll find:

A Camping Experience (Without the Overwhelm)

Lil Giant Fest is intentionally intimate — around 500 people. That means:

• No mega-queues

• No losing your friends for six hours

• No corporate chaos

Just a safe, relaxed field where kids can roam, parents can exhale, and everyone feels part of something special.

Camping is included in your ticket, motorhomes are welcome, and facilities will be simple but well managed. It’s about atmosphere over excess.
