Celebrating succulents! A trio of workshops and campfire lunch

Join us at Wild Ones for one, two or three fabulous workshops, celebrating the wonderful world of Succulents! And if you fancy it, join us for a delicious campfire lunch where you’ll be able to sample some edible succulents such as Dragon fruit and Aloe Vera.
Each workshop is suitable for all ages, though children under 10 may require some help from a grown-up. If you have a younger child, they are welcome to play in our Forest School area while the workshop is taking place, for just £5
Needle Felt a trio of cacti
10.00 – 11.30
After a demo on how to needlefelt, we will guide you through the process of felting three gorgeous mini cacti. We have all the tools, wool, flower pots and every colour imaginable – you just need to bring your creativity!
Needle felting is brilliant fun and easy to pick up. It does involve using needles so younger children will need close supervision and some help with the tricky bits.

Campfire lunch
12.00 – 13.00
Make your own parcel from a wide selection of seasonal vegetables, free range meats, cheeses and a choice of herds, spices and saues. This will be served with rice and salad.
Finish off with a selection of edible succulents and smores!

Macrame a plant holder
13.30 – 15.00
Bring along your favourite plant and pot and you will create a stunning hanging macrame plant holder so it can be shown off at home!
We will show you a variety of techniques have a selection of beads and embellishments to perfect your creation

Create a terrarium/fairy garden
15.30 – 17.00
Experience the magic of terrariums with gardening expert Louise. With step-by-step instructions and all the materials you need, we will guide you on how to make your own closed-lid terrarium that will be self-contained and will need little attention. So perfect for everyone – you don’t need to have green fingers!
We have a selection of mason jars and cork-lidded containers available, specialist compost and coloured/natural stones, and of course, several succulents that you can plant. And for those that want to add a little magic, we have some fairies and woodland accessories to add too.
We will supply small succulent plants (3-5cm) but feel free to bring your own if you have a plant that deserves a shiny new home!
